Hotel Le Portetta

Following a prolonged period of dramatic renovation and refurbishment to the highest standards, we are delighted to offer the Portetta Hotel and Lofts as part of our 2011/12 season’s programme.

Perfectly positioned at the foot of the slopes of Courchevel 1650, the Portetta is relaxed and friendly and offers a total of just 38 en-suite rooms (many of which are interconnecting, providing ideal family space), together with six stunning loft apartments each sleeping from 4 to 8 people. Wi-fi is available throughout and rooms come with flat-screen TVs and balconies overlooking the slopes and valley.

The new penthouse apartments are located on the top floor of the hotel and offer a new way of enjoying your ski holiday. The privacy of a self-contained luxury apartment is combined with all the facilities of the hotel and is equally suitable for groups of friends or families. Ranging in size from 60 to 160m2, the two- and three-bedroom apartments are superbly equipped including fully-fitted kitchens, separate en-suite rooms and beautifully decorated lounges with open fires, large flat screen TV/DVDs and balconies with superb views.

Open to all is the in-house restaurant serving a great mix of classic and modern French cuisine, and the large terrace/brasserie is a great place for lunch or après-ski drinks. Alternatively, the smart bar and lounge features a large open fireplace for the chillier afternoons and evenings.

There is also a beautifully done sauna and Hammam steam room to relax in after a day on the mountain as well as a very nice “Wellness” centre featuring Darphin trestments, plus a small gym for those who have not already had enough activity on the slopes!

To sum up, the transformation of this hotel is really quite hard to believe and the Portetta should be on anyone’s list if looking for a very stylish place, with ski-in/ski-out convenience and a great mix of self-catered and half-board accommodation to suite all tastes.
