Courchevel is an absolute delight for foodies with no fewer than ten Michelin-starred restaurants! Plus many other great places that may not make the Guide but certainly get our vote! Here are some favourites:

L’Oeil de Boeuf

This cosy place was recommended to us when we first moved to Courchevel 1550 and remains a big favourite for birthdays etc.! An absolute must for meat lovers, all food is cooked in front of you on the open fire, with hands-on hosting from owner, Laurent. Beware too much of his home-made Génépi...

Pilatus

A great lunch spot whether dining in the airy rear-salon, in a cosy booth in the main chalet-style area when the snow's chucking down, or on the huge sun terrace. There’s something here for everyone and, for such a busy place, the service is excellent.

Bel Air

Another fantastic lunch spot in a stunning location, jutting out over the mountain midway up the slopes of Courchevel 1650. Just ideal for sunny days with its enormous multi-level terrace, and offering a plat du jour, hearty "mountain food", plus excellent service and very reasonable prices for food and drinks.

Bistro du Praz

Located in the charming village of Le Praz, the famous Bistro is an absolute must for foie gras fans, with a variety of delicious hot and cold tasting menus. If goose liver isn’t your favourite, they also offer a wide range of traditional French and Savoyard cuisine. Well worth a visit.
