Mountain Lodges
We are truly delighted to announce the addition to our 2011/12 season of four superb independent lodges in the smart Belvedere area of Courchevel 1650. Available on self-catered or fully-catered basis (in part by the famous Chabichou restaurant!!), each is so evenly matched in terms of quality it is really only group size that determines the most suitable.Individually decorated, the lodges are a sublime mix of traditional Savoyard décor and 21st Century treats like Gaggenau appliances, BOSE hi-fi and huge flat-screen TVs. Rustic charm with a sophisticated twist!
In the large, light communal sitting / dining-areas each lodge has a welcoming open fireplace and ample space for everyone – no need for a game of Musical Chairs to see who gets a seat!
Accommodation is in ensuite bedrooms with balconies or terraces, and nice little touches like woollen-cashmere throws, slippers, bathrobes and complimentary l’Occitane products.
In place of the often-encountered morning experience of putting your boots on in nothing more than a cold garage, all the lodges offer heated ski rooms with boot warmers, and feature either a sauna or steam room, and beautifully-done après-ski ‘chill rooms’ with TVs and comfy loungers. Other touches include daily cleaning/turndown and fireplace set-up, après-ski tea and cakes, daily newspapers and a private shuttle service to all levels of Courchevel.
Offering ski-in/ski-out convenience, the lodges are only a couple of lifts away from Courchevel 1850 and beyond, or a short ski from the Ariondaz gondola in Courchevel 1650.
To sum up, there are any number of chalets in Courchevel – both good and bad. But to find four such as these that are each presented to the identical highest of standards, that can be effortlessly combined for larger groups, and that offer top notch catering and faultless service is very rare.
