About us

Giles and Vicky set up Exceptional Ski in 2005, with a genuine desire to provide quality, bespoke holidays with a high level of personal service – having seen the good and plain bad of various different Operators in the Alps.

We have grown steadily over the last six years, due in no small part to our large number of repeat guests, many of whom have become friends.

We feel that there is a huge benefit to staying a relatively small operation from a “quality control” perspective – plus we really do enjoy being ‘hands on’, skiing and mixing socially with our guests.

In her spare time, Vicky can be found trying to improve her version of ‘off-piste’ technique and overcome a fear of steep and deep places, while Giles, if not out ‘testing the snow’, can often be found with the newspaper in a nice sunny spot! And once our winter is well and truly over, we enjoy a short break indulging in our other passion of scuba diving in warmer climes (not in Courchevel’s lake!).

From May onwards, you will find us on France’s Cote d’Azur, where we run a small villa rental business, Exceptional Summer - we’d love to see you down there!
